Acting & Musical Theatre Achievements Outside of School
- I have been featured in several musical theatre performances in the Windsor Theatre Royal, such as an ensemble role in "Oliver!", Scuttle the Seagull in Disney's "The Little Mermaid," and the main antagonist Professor Callahan from "Legally Blonde." As well as in the theatre, my acting career has brought me onto television on numerous occasions.
- I was interviewed by both SKY and the BBC about children such as myself with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and have also featured multiple times on "GPs Behind Closed Doors".
- I was featured as an extra in the ITV series "There She Goes 2," alongside David Tennant and Jessica Hynes. I was also featured as an extra in another ITV series - the Christmas Special of "The Vicar of Dibley," with Dawn French. One of my most recent jobs was an extra role in the Netflix series "Heartstoppers," in the first episode of the second season. That was my favourite of my achievements.
Acting, Music & Sports Achievements within school
- Inside of school, I've done several musical performances for Made in BGS, Celebration Assemblies, and Open Evening, as well as a concert evening in St. Peter's Church, where I performed "Merry Xmas Everyone," by Slade as the lead singer, my first public performance as a singer, instead of my usual instrument - the drum kit.
- My other achievements in school include several features in the Drama productions, such as "The Light Burns Blue," Arabian Nights," and "A Comedy of Errors,"
- I have also made countless appearances in the Year 9 and Year 10 rugby team, during my time in those years, and am very glad to have represented Burnham Grammar School in this way.
What do you enjoy most about being a student at Burnham Grammar School?
I enjoy the freedom and opportunities to pursue my hobbies and interests, and the active encouragement to engage myself in extracurricular activities, and to balance my home life with school. I'm given help in any slight matter I may need assistance with, and all of the teachers are always willing to help me to develop my skills and learning.
What do you hope to achieve after leaving BGS? (Either Post 16/Post 18?)
I hope to stay at BGS for Sixth Form and A-Levels, and go on to pursue a career in drama or music, as either a famous drummer in a rock/metal band, or an actor.
What advice would you give to prospective students starting in Year 7 at Burnham Grammar School?
I would recommend considering your GCSE and A Level options carefully. Take your time choosing them, ensure you choose what you truly wish to pursue. I would also recommend staying focused on yourself. Don't do things just because your friends want to - if you want to be a musician, don't choose business, sociology, and french, for example, just because all of your friends are. Follow YOUR dreams, and make sure you achieve them. Work your hardest and you really can do anything in school.
