Parent consultation evenings at Burnham Grammar School are held virtually. Each year group has one Parents’ Evening per academic year.
These events able parents to meet with their child’s subject teachers to learn about their progress during the year. The event will be organised into short video appointments mainly between 4pm and 7pm and parents will receive a communication in advance in order to book appointments.
The video appointments can be accessed through a mobile telephone, tablet or laptop provided there is a camera and microphone. The parent making the appointment is able to invite others to the meeting, which might benefit two parents in different locations.
Booking appointments online with teachers is a simple process which gives flexibility in choosing appointment times with them.
After bookings have been finalised, parents will receive an email confirmation of their appointments. We encourage prompt booking, so as to select a time most convenient to parents. If, due to demand, it is not possible to make an appointment with a specific subject teacher and a parent has a specific concern that they would like to discuss, they should contact the specific teacher either via email or telephone.

In an instance where a teacher wishes to see a parent who has not requested an appointment, the member of staff will be able to add an appointment themselves via the online system.
For students who are on the Special Educational Needs register parents will be able to email the SEN Manager to discuss whether a virtual appointment with them is necessary.
