Warner Bros Studio Trip

27 Nov 2024

BGS Students visited the Warner Bros Studio tour and took part in a workshop called "Movie Maths", where they looked at how the Maths they learn in the classroom were applied to The Making of Harry Potter. Some of the topics they covered included Plans and Elevations and Scale Factors.

They also had a tour of the studio and got to see all the different sets of Harry Potter.

Here is feedback from one of our students:

"I really enjoyed my visit to the Warren Brothers trip as I got to take a tour of the filmmaking studio and explore the secrets of the Harry Potter movies! As a big fan of the series, I was immediately captivated by the attention to detail of the models of cabins and buildings! The entire venue felt like stepping into the world of Hogwarts. Each room was meticulously designed to evoke the magic and mystery of the Harry Potter universe. From the iconic Great Hall, where flickering candles hovered above the tables, to the intricately designed rooms, every corner brought a new sense of wonder. Overall, my visit was wonderful and I loved the maths lesson as we were able to learn the scale of Hagrid's size and put our knowledge to the test in a fun and enjoyable way!"
