On Monday 15th July, Year 9 students had an exciting and educational day of activities hosted by the Smallpeice Trust. The day began with a thrilling challenge to construct the tallest paper tower capable of supporting a 10 g mass, sparking creativity and engineering skills. Following this, students stepped into the roles of directors and technical experts of a company, tasked with evaluating and selecting renewable energy sources. They then built generators and pylons to deliver power to homes. The day culminated in a competition where the most innovative group generated over 4 volts of power, demonstrating outstanding creativity and problem-solving abilities.
